The most spectacular lights for your bedroom

The most spectacular lights for your bedroom

Whether a single room or a double room, your bedroom is a little piece of you, rendered over four walls and a bed. What you do with the rest is up to you. It’s a blank canvas upon which to make your unique mark.

So it’s got to look good, right? Make your room the envy of the world with these four spectacular lighting ideas.

  1. Turkish De-lights

Turkish mosaic lights are a bold and colourful addition to any bedroom. Perfect for anyone looking to master authentic hippy vibes or add a tasteful touch of exotic allure into a room. They are widely available in all sorts of shapes and sizes. Try the perfectly named TURKISHdeLIGHTS for a full range of handmade Turkish lights.

  1. Upcycle some bottles!

Let’s be honest for a second. Upcycling basically just means putting fairy lights on something old. And as a simple Instagram search will show you, there seems to be no end to the different ways you can put fairy lights on/in/around something. Among the fairy failures there are some really cool ideas.

One of our favourite DIY tricks is putting fairy lights inside bottles. The more lights the better. Put a string of lights in a wine bottle and use it as a lamp, or string smaller bottles together for more ambient lighting. Just make sure you hang your bottles securely!

  1. Marquee Lights

Marquee-Lights

Marquee lighting is the name for when something is lit up by dozens of tiny little light bulbs instead of one big one. It’s also how The Killers spell their name on all album covers. But don’t let that put you off – all those small light points create a lovely, soft, even lighting that can cheer up even the most sullen and desperate of bedrooms.
They also work very well around mirrors, art and cosmetic cupboards! Just try and ignore the superhero voices in your head.

  1. Projection Lamps

Turn your room into one huge canvas with projector lights. Perfect for chilling out in the dark, you can get all sorts of projectors, from scientific reproductions of the night sky, to abstract shapes and colours, to trippy fractals. With these cool lamps, your room is only ever an on-switch away from your own private light show.
