Who said Halloween was for kids? Following the success of our last article “Five Terrifying Halloween Flatmate Pranks“, we thought you might like a few more creepy ideas to scare the living crap out of your flatmates.
So, pull out your tool kit, your fake blood and your old bedsheets because it’s time to pull off the ultimate Halloween. Here’s scare off your flatmates with these 5 freaky DIY decorations!
1. Brew up a dreadful welcome for your flatmate…
Use your old bottles to make a dead body. Drop it off in your pathway (or hang it on a tree) and reserve a freaky home welcome home for your flatmates. Our advice? Use white plastic bags and add some red painting on the body to make it even more realistic!
If you have a garage door, you can even fake a mortal accident. Collect an old pair of jeans, a rag jumper and some stuffing to replicate thea head off dead body. The Last ingredient to round off your bloody scene? A fair amount of ketchup! We bet your flatmate will shudder with fear at the view of your garage door!
2. Leave a spooky surprise in the Kitchen cupboard
The classic head in a jar trick. You already can imagine your flatmate coming back from a long day of work and craving for a little snack. You see him heading to the cupboard (lol, pun), opening it and… WOW!
Here’s how to do it.
Print a picture of your head. If you really want to make it as realistic as possible, use a photo editor to blend two pictures together. Finally, laminate the picture in a curved jar full of coloured water.

3. Go for a stroll in the bathroom
Now you’ve got your flatmates all riled up, they’ll likely be in the mood for a peiceful, relaxing hot shower. But now’s not the time to let up on them.
Worthy of the famous Alfred Hithcock movie, these scenes could really frighten your flatmates!
And when they pulls themselves together and finally get ready to take your their shower, imagine them seeing this out of the corner of their eye!
4. Don’t forget to invite some guests in the toilets
Halloween wouldn’t be Halloween without our black, hairy, aracnid friends! Hide spiders in the toilets for a horrifying reaction!

Find old dolls in the attic of your parents’ house and place/hang them in terrifying spots around their bedroom.
