To be successful in finding a spare room with EasyRoommate, you’ll have to give your Search profile as much exposure as possible.
Write a killer description!
It is important that you place a profile that is as informative as possible, this way flatmates advertising their spare room know exactly what your expectations are:
Rent: Be clear about your maximum rent budget. We will be sending you daily matches based on the rent budget you’ve entered.
Minimum stay: How long do you need the room for? Short term or a long term rental, there is a spareroom for everyone no matter what the term!
Profile description: Use this field to introduce yourself and talk about the type of flatshare you are looking for. You may like to include:
- Who you are?
Age, gender, employment status, where are you from, what are your interests, why are you moving?
- What you are looking for?
Room size, single or double, furnished or unfurnished, amenities and facilities available, etc.
- Where specifically would you like to live?
- Who would you like to share with?
Age group, gender, employment status, interests, would you prefer somewhere quiet, a family home or a party house etc.
Pictures: It’s always nice to put a face to the name and it’s the perfect way to break the ice.
You can modify this and upload images at any time by clicking on My Ads and then Edit.
Book a viewing
To book a viewing, you need to contact the landlord directly from the site. We offer different contact options:
Send Quick Interest: this is a quick way of letting the advertiser know that you are interested in their spareroom. We will send them your roommate profile and a note saying that you like their room. If it’s really the perfect place, you might want to consider sending a message or calling to ensure you don’t miss out!
Send a Message: Send the advertiser a personal message. It’s a great way to introduce yourself, share contact details and find out more about the room.
Make a direct Call: Users often have preferred contact methods, so the contact options available are not always the same. If the user has chosen to display their personal phone number, it will be displayed in the contact area of their ad.
We hope this information helps you find a spare room faster! Good luck with your Search!
