Ok, you saved yourself some good money and found a roommate for your summer vacation in New York City, so now it’s time to have some fun. If your new summer roommates are native to NYC, they will be able to give you many ideas on places to go to enjoy your summer, but in case they don’t, here are some ideas to get you started on a memorable summer.
If you find yourself watching nature shows at home, then you will definitely want to visit the Bronx Zoo at least once. Lions and tigers and bears, plus many more animals and exhibits to see. They have indoor and outdoor exhibits and even a trolley to get you across the zoo. Best of all, free entry every Wednesday!
You will also want to visit the famous Coney Island in Brooklyn. There you can spend the whole day between lounging on the beach, walking the board walk, and even visiting the aquarium there, if that’s your thing. Best thing, all you really need is the train money to get there, so not a bad way to spend a nice summer day on your vacation. The money you saved when you found a room to rent can now be used for more important things, like the roller coaster and Ferris wheel.
Of course, there are plenty of other things to do and see in NYC, and to post them all would take a while, so do your research so you have a game plan. Ask your new roommates if they want to come along as well, everyone loves a good time.
